Deerfield is about ten minutes from the shop on Oak Ave. The jobs we get called for here sit between a big remodel and a trip to the hardware store: a charger at the garage, a panel that trips when the oven and dryer run, new hardware, a closet that needed doing years ago.

Housing stock and electrical load

A lot of Deerfield is post-war subdivision and later infill: attached garages, finished basements, and 100-amp panels that were never asked to run a Level 2 charger, a range, and a dryer at once. That is why charger jobs here start at the panel, not at the Amazon box.

The Village of Deerfield inspects dedicated EV circuits, service upgrades, and many electrical additions. Building Department handles residential electrical permits. We pull the permit and meet the inspector. Hanging a fixture on an existing box is usually the list on the fridge. Opening a panel is not.
